Understanding and Supporting Learning provides customised good value teacher training for schools, colleges and universities. The teacher training is designed to raise awareness of barriers to learning and offers accessible Smart Strategies to provide high quality inclusive teaching.
We specialise in SEND including Dyslexia, Dyscalculia, Dyspraxia, Attention Deficit and Hyperactivity Disorder, Autism Spectrum Disorders, processing difficulties and working memory deficits.

USL bring a unique combination of classroom experience, in all sectors of education, an informed theoretical knowledge and personal experience of living with a SpLD. The training events draw on all these elements to create sessions that are interactive, informed and motivational.

3 hours (half day) of CPD for the Five Minute Literacy Box or The Number Box including:
•Awareness of Specific Learning Difficulties and how they impact on learning
•Ways that help children with Specific Learning Difficulties to learn
•Why the Five Minute Box resources work to facilitate learning
•Practical hands-on experience using the resource and teaching strategies with confidence.

Up to 20 attendees per session
Teaching Assistants, SENCOs, Inclusion managers, Specialist teachers, parents, anyone who you think would benefit from training with Five Minute Boxes
