Rachel Ingham and Julia Rowlandson
We have combined our expertise and experience to form US-L. Over the years that we have worked as SpLD trainers, both freelance and for the British Dyslexia Association and the National education Union, we have built up a wide network of multi-disciplinary professionals with whom we work to deliver up-to-date and practical training.

Rachel Ingham BA, PGCE, MA SpLD, AMBDA
As an adult with dyslexia, I understand and empathise with students who struggle in an education system that does not meet their specific learning needs.
Much of the training I deliver emphasises the importance of developing a student's awareness and strategies to evolve, with teacher guidance, a flexible informed approach to learning.
I am able to bring practical classroom experience of motivating and teaching students with specific learning disorders, as well as knowledge of implementing a successful strategic approach.

Julia Rowlandson BA Hons, PGCE, Dip SpLD, AMBDA
As the parent of a dyslexic child and a teacher, I believe that every student is an individual who has a right to an education which enables them to fulfil their potential.
My strengths lie as a practitioner. Understanding learning differences and teaching in a multi-sensory way is vital for those with learning differences.
In delivering training, my aim is to empower teachers to review and select different techniques to suit each learner. I draw on both established and innovative techniques gathered from my years of experience in teaching, lecturing, educational publishing and consulting.
